The DOW was down 449 points today. The nasdaq was down almost 5 percent! That is 100+ points, i haven't seen that since the .com bust. I wonder what is gonig to happen next??? I wonder if a couple of these days are still to come, like maybe one or two more of these days then maybe we will see a bottom. It is just really hard to predict markets. Oil was a surprise today moving up more than 6 dollars to 97 dollars. I guess when all of this market turmoil has been going on i haven't paid attention to oil... I just realized that oil had gone down all the way to 91 dollars. Goldman and Morgan got hit hard today, for NO reason! I don't think they should have been slaughtered nearly as bad as they have. They haven't had much trouble with this subprime mess at all and they are getting taken out because of the other companies that couldn't tell someone that they could loan to and someone they could. I don't know what else to say, I can't believe that the FED is giving 85 billion dollars to AIG, HOW CAN YOU GET INTO THAT KIND OF MESS??? This is really disturbing to me because we had no idea that AIG would soon need a 85 billion dollars to survive.
That is all for today

500 point loss
Wow what a day... Man doesn't it really suck when 2 or 3 companies bring down the whole stock market. When other companies have great news and should be going up instead of the 4 or 5 percent decline because of 2 or 3 companies. I just really hate how one or two things can cause a mass decline when something doesn't even pertain to one of your stocks. Do you think that tomorrow will be an up day just because of the huge loss today? I think so... That is normally what happens when there is a huge decline. But there are still some of those cases where the market just keeps going down and down day after day.
